ILG S3 Minors Are Going to End Soon – Have you Begun Your Esports Journey Yet?
The Indian LAN Gaming Cup’s 3rd season began in June at LXG, Bengaluru. Since then, over 145 minors have been conducted in 30 cafes across 20 cities in India. Around 56.2 lakhs of the total 1.1 crore cash prize pool and 15.9 lakhs of the 50 lakh merchandise prize pool has been allocated to the winners of the minors. With only 23 tournaments left in the cup, your own chance to get a slice of pie is running out quick.
What’s more, if you win the minors, your team will qualify for the regional phase of the ILG Cup. This phase holds even bigger prizes for the winners, provided they qualify into the grand finale. Then, the country’s top teams will battle it out for glory and fame, and your team could be one of them.
If this sounds great to you, you can register for the upcoming tournaments of ILG here. We will also be giving prospective participants some additional information on the upcoming matches and their locations.
The Big Guns
If your team is the kind that loves taking on high-risk, high-reward situations, our 1,00,000 prize pool tournaments are the way to go. As the season is nearing its end, we only have 3 blockbuster tournaments with this prize pool. 2 of them are occuring on the weekend of December 14th and 15th, with the final one taking place over December 21st and 22nd. The first is a CS:GO tournament taking place in Intencity, Pune.
Intencity is one of the oldest gaming cafes in the city, with one of the strongest and most faithful communities in the country. Located in a central location of Pune, it has been a mainstay for gamers in the city for a long time. Of late, the cafe has also been upgraded with modern gaming PCs and peripherals. ILG CS:GO tournaments held here have always received a roaring response, so be prepared to fight for the money if you want it!
The other two tournaments are of DOTA 2, with one happening in Hyderabad and the other in Mumbai. The center in Hyderabad is in Gamers Guild, a fairly new gaming cafe that has quickly picked up a dedicated following. This DOTA 2 tournament is likely to feature a lot of regular names, so expect hot competition for that 1 lakh.
Fidato Gaming in Mumbai is also a fairly new undertaking, with a dedicated community to boot. The esports scene in Mumbai has always been active, especially in popular games like CS:GO and DOTA 2. The big prize pool is sure to attract some powerful competitors, so be sure to brush up your DOTA 2 game before attempting it!
An Easier Way
There are also 7 tournaments remaining with a prize pool of 50,000. This level of tournament attracts all kinds of players, and a well-trained team (maybe even yours), can secure the prize pool and a seat in the regional qualifiers. 5 of these are CS:GO tournaments, with 2 being for DOTA 2. They’ll be taking place at Cuttack, Chennai, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Hyderabad.
Out of these, the CS:GO tournaments will be taking place all across the country. The venues will be ARGA in Cuttack, Fusion Max in Kolkata, Kryptonite Microsystems in Ahmedabad, Playmax in Hyderabad, and GG Gaming Cafe in Lucknow. These are your chance to give your best and secure a spot in the regionals.
LXG, Chennai, and Playbox Pro in Jaipur will be hosting the last 2 DOTA 2 tournaments of November. So, if DOTA 2 is the game of your choice, you need to hurry to move to the next round through the 50,000 prize pool tournaments.
Apart from DOTA 2 and CS:GO, we will also be organizing FIFA 19 tournaments with prize pools of 20,000 and 10,000 all across the country. The complete schedule can be found here, along with registration links.
