After three successful seasons of exhilarating LAN gaming, the ILG Cup is back with its fourth iteration of the Pan India LAN tournament. Players from across the country will face off against each other in the Esports Arena League in 30 gaming cafes across 20+ cities. It will have both PC and console titles in a LAN environment. If you ever wanted to make it to the big leagues, here’s your chance!
This upcoming series of weekly organized esports LAN gaming events aims to build on India’s quickly growing community of gamers and nurture them right from the grassroot level. ILG has propelled many gamers all the way to the top tier of esports in India, putting them in teams that represent the country on international platforms. The fourth season of ILG will build upon the sizable impact that the event has had on the Gaming cafe ecosystem in India by executing a year-long tournament in collaboration with various gaming arenas across the country.
To give you an idea of what the Indian LAN Gaming tournament is all about, here’s a sneak peek into our past seasons. ILG has been in the Indian LAN gaming scene since 2016, and has been instrumental in building up the Indian gaming ecosystem, through the year-long Intellectual Property.
Indian LAN Gaming Cup (ILG) provides a platform for underdog teams to compete head-to-head with some of the most established esport teams in the country. In the last three seasons of ILG, teams such as Global Esports, Fnatic India, ROG Titans, Marcos Gaming, Entity Gaming, Brutality, and many more took part. The tournament has given out a combined prize pool of 2.75 CR with a total registration count of 40,000+ gamers who have played just under 1,000 tournaments over 13 esports titles.
If you’re not a fan of ILG yet, you’d love to show us off eventually and become a fan when you see our latest line of merchandise. We’re bringing it back due to popular demand from ILG fanatics. You know who you are!
Here’s what Shravanth Reddy, the Managing Director of LXG, had to say about ILG Season 4:
“ILG is bringing back the competitive LAN environment for both gaming enthusiasts and cafes from where we left off in 2020 prior to the pandemic. We believe that ILG Cup Season 4 will again strengthen the existing cafe LAN culture for budding grass root level players who want to make their name in the community where they also get a chance to face off against professional esports players and rise to the ranks,”
To see how the LAN tournaments respond post-pandemic, LXG held one month of Let’s Go LAN & Weekend Brawls powered by Logitech and AMD respectively in 8 gaming cafes across India which had an overall turnout of 2711 participants. With a strong response from the LAN gaming communities at our partnered gaming arenas, it gives us great determination to commit to our year-long Flagship gaming cafe property – ILG.
Similar to previous formats, the fourth iteration of ILG will take place in gaming arenas across the country. ILG also has something more in store for gamers across India this season.
This is just the beginning of exciting news about ILG Season 4, and as the days pass, there are more announcements to follow.
