LXG – League of Extraordinary Gamers at NVIDIA India’s 1080 Launch Event
On June 11th, 2016, NVIDIA India invited LXG – League of Extraordinary Gamers and some of the biggest names in the gaming industry to the launch of their newest range of graphic cards, the GeForce 10 series. It was a big event that took place in the NVIDIA India Offices at Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore, India. From overclocking your PC, Virtual Reality experience zones, the PLAYSEAT Racing wheel and the Overwatch Tournament, it was more of a celebration than a launch and it was an amazing event organized by NVIDIA India. The whole event was livestreamed on NVIDIA India’s Facebook Page.
LXG – League of Extraordinary Gamers hosted an Overwatch Tournament for the gamers and participants presents. It was a good turnout as we had around 50 participants who took part in the Overwatch Tournament. The finals were livestreamed on NVIDIA India’s Facebook Page. The winners of the tournament were a team comprised of Nikhil “Brutality” SK, Mansoor “Nabu” Ahmed and Abhishek “AlienKarma” Karmakar.
We also set up the Multi-Monitor PLAYSEAT Racing Wheel powered by the GTX 1080 with the HTC Vive for all the visitors to try out “Project Cars” and experience the simulation of driving through the form of a video game. Many people got to try out the awesome setup and had a lot of fun racing through the levels which are based on real life racing tracks.
With Fragging Monk, we, at LXG – League of Extraordinary Gamers, made a scratch build PC Case Mod modelled after the newest NVIDIA graphic card, GeForce GTX 1080. The scratch build used a GIGABYTE Z170 WiFi, an Intel i5-6600K, 8GB DDR4 HyperX Fury RAM and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. NVIDIA India covered the case mod on their livestream and we got to show it to everyone from India via Facebook Live. The event was a success and our team had a good time conducting the Overwatch Tournament and covering the event. You can check out the whole album on LXGINDIA TV‘s Facebook Page
